Winston Ventures is the private investment office of one family. We take a small number of positions and hold them for a long time; we offer counsel where it is wanted; we build where nothing suitable exists.
We steer by a few fixed points — patience, candor, the people we keep — and let everything else turn.
Advise
Quiet counsel to founders and families at the moments that matter: a first real board, a succession, a sale. We speak plainly, and only when we have something useful to say.
Build
When the right thing does not exist, we start it. Operating companies, new ventures, and the occasional project that simply ought to be in the world.
